Welcome to the Together4Forests Hub
Together4Forests was the driving motto for our campaign aiming to put a stop to EU-driven deforestation. It brought together 1.2 million EU citizens, over 200 NGOs from across the globe, scientists and companies.
The collective effort led to the adoption of the world’s first law targeting global deforestation, the EU Deforestation Regulation (or EUDR). This entered into force in June 2023, so we can all continue to enjoy coffee, chocolate and many other daily products without unknowingly contributing to nature destruction.
Since then, Member States, producing countries and companies worldwide have been preparing to implement it, as the EUDR is set to apply from the end of 2025.
Unfortunately, the EUDR has come under attack by political and business interests. A number of decision-makers and powerful industry lobby groups are trying to delay and weaken this important piece of legislation even before the rules have started applying.
